Masterplanning Checklist for Sustainable Transport in New Developments
This project assessed the master-planning policies required to achieve sustainable travel patterns in Housing Growth Areas. It reviewed academic and official research to compile evidence for how different planning variables, e.g. proximity to public transport services, impact on travel behaviour. The report draws on the resulting masterplanning checklist for sustainable transport in order to assess practice and policy in the Thames Gateway Area.
Carried out for the Campaign for Better Transport. (2008)
